Students Join Cancer Fight
A group of seven students from the College of Science Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT) started this blog as a Class Project in Social Networking to promote Cancer Awareness and the excellent work of the Trinidad and Tobago Cancer Society (TTCS) in its fight against cancer.
The stated Mission of the Cancer Society is
to create and promote greater awareness of the need for early detection and
preventative measures to reduce the incidence of cancer through education,
service and advocacy.
The Trinidad and Tobago Cancer Society
is a non-profit organization, which is actively involved in the fight against
cancer through a wide range of efforts, including screening to facilitate early
detection, education to increase public awareness of the disease, social
counseling and psychological support and welfare assistance.
We encourage everyone to follow us and lend your support to this project, as we seek to keep the public informed on a weekly basis about events, news, information and developments surrounding a range of cancer issues and ongoing activities.
Supporting the work of the Trinidad & Tobago Cancer Society through the promotion of its goals across the national community is an important social initiative, which not only shows our love and responsibility to those stricken with the disease, but will help encourage lifestyles changes and produce healthier and more productive citizens.
Folks remember October is Cancer Awareness Month and there are lots of activities for which you can volunteer your time and services to show your support. For more info, click any link below and follow us for weekly updates.
